DESCRIPTION:12th Annual Thunder in the City\n\n \n\nFREE FAMILY FUN ENTERTAINMENT!\n\n \n\nThunder in the City Roaring Back into Downtown Meadville in August\n\n \n\n The Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce their annual Thunder in the City classic car and bike show is scheduled to return for one day only\, Saturday\, August 7\, 2021. The event will be held in and around Diamond Park with free admission and fun for the whole family.\n\n \n\nThe weekend will kick off on Friday evening with a car cruise in at Lang Motors from 5:00-9:00 pm. Also\, the Meadville Independent Business Alliance is hosting their monthly First Friday event 5:00-8:00 pm.\n\n \n\nSaturday's events will feature a full day of cars\, bikes\, music\, food\, and vendors.  Classic cars will surround Diamond Park from 8:00 am-3:00 pm.  Registration begins at 7:00 am on South Main Street and is free.  There will be no pre-registration.  Cruise-In music from the gazebo will fill the air and vendors and local food trucks will fill the interior of Diamond Park. Other activities currently planned include an inflatable playground fundraiser sponsored by Second District Elementary PTO (wristbands will be sold)\, Knockerball\, Shimmy Mob Belly Dance Troupe Sacred Circle presentation\, and the Meadville Family YMCA will host a farm-to-table tasting event for children. The Northwest PA National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) will also be back in with their RoboBOTS demonstration from 11:00 to 2:00\, a favorite annual attraction for kids of all ages. A scenic bike ride will leave Street Track 'n Trail at 3:15\, arriving in downtown Meadville and traveling along South Main Street to Diamond Park\, ending on Chestnut Street. Local singer/songwriter Brett Allen Morgan will perform from 1:00-3:00 in the gazebo. Music will continue into the evening with more local musicians Jared Cooney\, Love Minus Zero and Justin Gray taking the stage from 4:00-9:30.\n\n \n\nAdditional events are still being planned and will be listed on the Chamber's website and Facebook page as they are confirmed.\n\n\n\nVendor spaces are available for the 1-day event. Contact the Chamber of Commerce for an application or download it here. The deadline to apply is Friday\, July 23rd.
