2016 Insurance Forum"What you need to know before renewing your employee health plan"

The Meadville Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce and Northwestern PA Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association understand how confusing employee health insurance can be for our members: mandates, compliance issues, opt-outs, narrow networks, etc. We also know that the health insurance market has continued to evolve and most employers will soon be making renewal decisions. Maintaining an affordable health insurance benefit is often an integral part of an employee’s compensation package.
The Chamber and NTMA have again teamed up with the DJB Group to host the 2016 Insurance Forum. This year’s Forum will focus more on specific topics that employers have brought to our attention. Employers have also had to become more creative with their benefit package due to increasing medical premiums and higher deductibles. Many are using ancillary benefits to help offset medical benefit changes. In an effort to help our members, a number of ancillary carriers will participate with table exhibits. This will allow employers to gather information from all benefit areas: medical, dental, life, vision, disability, and voluntary benefits.
Final details are being prepared, but we can provide you with some basic information so that you can plan accordingly. The event will be held at the Italian Civic Club, 869 Water Street in Meadville on Wednesday, July 12, 2016 from 8:30 AM until noon. Registration/Exhibits/Breakfast Buffet will be from 8:30-9:00 with the program beginning at 9:00. Exhibits will also be open from 11:30-noon. Many Door Prizes will also be available for you to win.
