“Fighting Wildfires” Wednesday, June 27 4:30—5:30 p.m. Join us in welcoming Jay Lindemuth, Fire Forester, DCNR Bureau of Forestry to present about wildfires. “A lot of people don’t think that wildland fires can happen here, but in fact they do. For example for Crawford County this spring we had 13 reported wildland fires that burned over 20 acres, and destroyed one home and multiple outbuildings. 100% of these fires were human caused. “ We will learn about: • Safe Debris Burning and Prescribed Burning • District 14 Wildland Fire Statistics ( District 14 includes Crawford, Erie, Forest, Venango and Warren Counties) • Fire Prevention and Smokey Bear visit • Wildland Fire Fighting-Tools, equipment, tactics, air assets, training
